What a year for direct selling!

The #1 spot was awarded to the DeVos Family as co-founders of Amway. In 2011 there was no other power or greater influence in direct sales than the co-founders of Amway.

They redefined politics education and moral values in the US direct selling industry.

Direct Selling Association (DSA) #5

The Direct Selling Association (DSA) placed 5th. The DSA transferred 40 years of leadership from Neil Offen to Joe Mariano in 2011. The Association is in the process of redefining its position and vision of direct sales as they enter into public policy debates on behalf of the industry and voting community of the world.

#9 Andrea Jung, Avon

Andrea Jung was bumped down from the number one spot which she held three years in a row to number 9.

After a decade at the helm of Avon, Andrea lost her title due to an international scandal causing the Avon stock to drop 45%. She is still ranked as the number 9 most powerful woman in direct sales worldwide.

The DSWA impacts thousands of lives worldwide and the direct selling industry would not be the same without it. The Direct Selling Women’s Alliance continues to make a global impact on women’s lives.

Direct Selling Around The World

The Direct Selling Association of Turkey held the World Federation of Direct Selling Association’s conference “East Meets West” on October 5th & 6th, 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey.

The WFDSA conference featured government, consumer and academic experts from around the world. Participants focused on direct selling discussions and the expansion of the industry worldwide.

Turkey recently has emerged as a entrepreneurial hotbed for young, motivated direct sellers. The CashFlowShow – Direct Sales Radio guest this week (11/30/11) is Hakki Ozmorali, one of the leading experts in the Turkish direct selling industry.
