Editors Favorite Sales Rally Quote

Rebekah Gienapp won the editor’s pick of our favorite comment. She said a lot and to summarize:

Last year I went to our Barefoot Books national conference for the first time.

I can’t stress enough how it propelled me into success.

Our company was making a big transition at the time and encouraging Ambassadors to do home parties and small events as opposed to only participating in large scale vendor events and book fair fundraisers.

After hearing Mary Christensen’s keynote and participating in the workshops, I came back ready to make a big push for parties.

In the next 5 months I did 13 parties (I had only done 1 previously) and grew my team from 3 people to 6 and achieved team leader status.

In the year after conference, I was recognized for my personal sales doubling as a result. The momentum that started for me at conference lasted all year long!

I attended our 2015 conference last month and have a renewed commitment to supporting my team members into moving into leadership themselves.

I have never gone to conference but maybe I will start saving for next year.

It seems like such a big investment but reading these articles maybe I can convince my husband if I have the money saved from parties

Hi Deb! We just had our Annual Conference but unfortunately it was in Arizona – I live in Ontario, Canada so by the time I joined I just did not have the funds to go..BUT….I spent the time listening to and reading training videos, webinars, etc. when they were all there. I read over all my notes from your shows and made more new notes. So all was not lost as our amazing Team is also sharing things and there will be a smaller break out group soon for all us who did not attend and I do plan on attending that! Cheers!!

Last year I went to our Barefoot Books national conference for the first time, and I can’t stress enough how it propelled me into success. Our company was making a big transition, encouraging our Ambassadors to try parties and small events more (most of us were doing large scale vendor events and book fair fundraisers.) After hearing Mary Christiansen’s keynotes and participating in workshops, I came back ready to make a big push for parties. In the next 5 months I did 13 parties (I had only done 1 previously) and grew my team from 3 people to 6 and achieved team leader status. I earned the top fourth quarter prize offered by our company (only offered to 8 people each year): an all expense paid trip to France. In the year after conference, I was recognized by our company because my personal sales doubled during that time. The momentum that started for me at conference lasted all year long! I attended our 2015 conference last month and have a renewed commitment to supporting my team members into moving into leadership themselves.

There is nothing like the energy, and camaraderie, that comes from attending an in person Conference that is focused on Product Knowledge and Customer Service Skills. Repeatedly, I saw our Watkins Products Business grow by 30% or more! After going to Conference!

I have been to convention every year since joining (7) and it is the most important investment I make each year in staying on top of things.

Like you said in another article – you learn the trends, see the big picture and meet those that inspire.

I try to instill in my team from day one that they NEED to plan to attend every year!

I will be leaving for my conference in TWO DAYS!!! So excited! I will get to mingle with the other JE consultants and actually meet them face-to-face. I registered for breakout sessions that are being taught by some of the leaders in JE so we will learn from the best! I have read up from http://www.cashflowshow.com and other sites how to best capture all the info I will be learning. I’m pumped!

Going to conference is a complete game changer. I attended Steeped Tea’s conference in June, and was able to attend Leader’s Day where we heard about Gen Y’ers and how to market to them. What is amazing about that is it gives insight on how to work with different team members based on their age.
