Team Training Role Play Game
Posted by Deb BixlerAny direct sales business owner knows that her or his business is only as strong as the sales team they have, which is why sales team training is so essential for a successful business.
Training To Engage Home Business Team
Training your home party business sales team is easier when you use engaging games and activities to help them promote your business and themselves in successful ways. To keep your sales team strong, you need to interact with them to see exactly how their approach works or needs improvement.
When you train your sales team so that they engage both sides of their brain during the activity the lesson will take on a bigger impact. They will have the confidence to move forward and put the team training into action in their daily business life.
Team Training Role Play Game
A great sales team training game that utilizes both sides of the brain, the creative side and the problem-solving side, is to do role-play of actual sales approaches.
Write down several scenarios that differ from one another and randomly hand out these scenarios to your sales team.
You will have one sales team member play a customer who is either disgruntled, indecisive, eager or curious, while you have another sales team member play out the scenario of selling in different situations.
As your team plays out their individual roles, take down notes of improvement, what you liked, or what you like to change.
After each role-play, ask other sales team members for their input.
- Did they like how the scene played out?
- Would they have handled a disgruntled or annoyed customer differently, and if so, how would they have approached the situation?
Make sure that each sales team member during the sales team training exercise has gotten to play both the customer role and the sales role, so they can feel what it’s like to be on both ends of the approach. This way, they can see how their approach may be affecting customers by playing a customer role themselves.
Using this sales re-enactment exercise, you can find new or different ways of helping your sales team approach customers, see how each sales member makes their sale, and the ways everyone can improve, including yourself.
Role-playing games are a great way to see exactly how your sales team members interact in the world of selling your business, and these games are crucial to seeing where everyone can improve their technique overall.
