No Time? Try The Business Power Hour!

How many hours during the week do you feel you are creating ideas, applying these ideas to making your business a success, and producing work at the top of your game?

Maybe putting a couple of power hours into your schedule is the answer!

WAHM Business Focus

Often as a  WAHM (work at home Mom) you cannot get a minute to tend to business period, let alone have a full day in the office.

The more hours you are working at your peak, the more successful your business will be. These hours in which you are able to completely focus on a task and produce results are your POWER HOURS!

Schedule Your Business Power Hour

Every business owner with our without kids should schedule a power hour or two into their business.

The key word is schedule!

If you are a WAHM make sure that you schedule time into your week when the kids are being watched by someone else.

Possibly you could even trade hours with another work at home friend. You watch mine on M, W, F and I’ll watch your kids for an hour T, T, S… or something to that effect.

Though a successful direct sales business relies on power time in the office to succeed, no one can expect to work uninterrupted and completely focused on a task for an entire day. And guess what?

You don’t need to have a week full of power hours to produce results. You only need a few of them.

Successful people know how to focus when focus is needed.

They realize that a power hour is a small block of time and doesn’t need to last for an entire workday. You will be amazed at how much you can get done in one focused hour. With no interruptions, no distractions, and a strong desire to achieve results, great things can be accomplished!

What Is A Power Hour?

A true power hour is the time when energy, time, technique, and focus converge. There are times you may have one or more of these in sufficient quantities, but mastering a power hour takes all four.

Energy, time, technique, and focus converge to have a noticeable impact on results because this is your peak time – your POWER HOUR!

Plan your Power Hour at your best time of day… you know when that is!

  • Power hours will help you achieve results faster than you ever thought possible.
  • Power hours will help you work less. In this case, less is truly more; you’ll work less, but achieve more.
  • Power hours will help re-energize you. Have you ever had that feeling after reaching a goal; the kind where you feel more focused, more alive, more motivated?  That’s what power hours can do for you.

Your Focused Power Hour

Once you have built a couple of Power Hours into your weekly schedule, plan what you want to focus on during each one. It could be any three things that are important to you:

  • Bookings
  • Host Coaching
  • Recruiting
  • Data Entry
  • Customer Service
  • Team Training

Maybe the Monday power hour would focus on bookings, recruiting and host coaching and the Thursday power hour on customer service, team building and cold calling. It doesn’t matter what the focus is as long as it is important to your business.

You can have a different focus each day/Power Hour. Maybe Monday and Friday it is Power Hour #1 and Wednesday you use Power Hour plan #2.

During your power hour you have one totally focused hour –  no kids or interruptions for the whole hour.

During that time you will put 15 minutes into each part. 15 minutes on host coaching, 15 minutes on data entry, 15 minutes on recruiting calls or whatever is in your focused power hour plan.

Then the last 15 minutes is spent organizing, filing or doing follow up activities to complete the tasks that were assigned in those 15 minute blocks. Done! The kids are back and you feel better!!

There is no denying the fact that some workdays there is just too much to do!

It is also true that some days are so unproductive that you might as well have stayed home in bed.

We’ve all had those days that just seem to drag on and on. Days when you seem to be working, but you never get anything accomplished. For some entrepreneurs, those days are rare, but inevitable.

However, for many people in the direct sales business, those lagging, unproductive days happen far too often.

However, by mastering the use of power hours and actually scheduling them into your week you can get more done in less time.  By using power hours, you know you’ll get more done than most people who never take a break!
