Stop Direct Sales Business Recruiting…

Posted by Deb Bixler

Start Making Friends In Business!

The best direct sales business recruiting tip I can give you is to stop recruiting and start making friends! The first in a series of recruiting training events, this is part of the Direct Sales Recruiting University.

Direct Sales Recruiting Training

Over the next 10 days we will continue to post training for the direct sales industry on the topic of recruiting.

The second DSRU is already live. Just put your email here to get directed to the next mini-webinar and to also get an email about future trainings.

If you got an email to come to this page you do not need to register again.

If you signed up before and got an email to visit this page then you are already on the FREE DSRU list and do not have to sign up again.

A Happy DSRU Graduate: I really got a lot out of the direct sales university. The down to earth attraction marketing technique really works!! I was so also impressed with the meeting planning tools that you gave us. I have had more people showing up at our meetings since using some of the themes and training topics you talked about. 2nd try worked to receive the webinar and I’m so glad that it did. Great info. especially about sharing my story in 1 minute and remembering to keep my focus on others and also on their emotions.

  8. comment number 8 shared by: Deb Bixler

Glad you got to listen, Sue, that sounds like a server issue (could be yours or mine, or YouTube) with stopping, etc. Sorry you had trouble!! One of those out of control things. Glad you came back and took the time to comment too! Thanks!

  17. comment number 17 shared by: Erica

WOW!! Just stumbled on this site today and the fates must have steered me toward this link! My first thought: ‘Now this is my kinda gal! I’m just not syrupy fake and all! I love how genuine you are. Down to earth, real talk, that makes sense and is inspiring! THANK YOU!!! Just like most, I need more bookings and will be looking those articles, etc up next. I am geographically challenged, but determined to not let my location limit my success! I live on an island in Alaska with a rather small community and am just discovering the possibilities of online marketing.

Thanks Deb! I feel like you helped me set up a firm foundation for my business, or at least helped me to know the materials I need to build that foundation.

  22. comment number 22 shared by: Jennifer

I love your tip about how to share one’s personal story. You made it so simple and I could really relate to leaving the corporate world to do what I loved. Just putting it into words has been difficult. However, with your back suggestions, I will be able to do so now.

  23. comment number 23 shared by: Deb Bixler

Good! Your personal story is only one time to share at the beginning to plant the seed then as you see in future videos you keep sprinkling info to create desire! Thanks for sharing Jennifer!

  24. comment number 24 shared by: Lakisha Wade

This is great! I’m recommending it to others now. Thank you for sharing and I wish you much success. If we keep helping enough people get what they want, we will eventually get what we want and feel better about the process along the way. Thanks again!

  25. comment number 25 shared by: Laurie Wilber

Yes, this REALLY is great! I’m recommending it to my team too. I never thought of going to a vendor event as a guest and networking. What a great bookings tip. You always come up with something that I never heard any one else say. Thanks!

I am just starting out in my business. I’ve tried other “adventures” before, but I just couldn’t make a go of them. Maybe it was me, maybe it was the timing, maybe they weren’t the right fit. I know that some of the keys that were missing were training, education and personal growth. Thank you so very much for offering this free course – I truly appreciate it, and know that with your tips and training I will become not only a better rep, but I will be prepared to be a leader! :)

  44. comment number 44 shared by: Jenny

Thank You, Thank you, Thank you.
Awesome training, simple and easy to understand.
Making Friends for me is the key to connect with other people. In my experience recruiting, people respond better when they know that I really care about then.
I do really want to learn more about how to get people to stay in the business. To make then understand that they need to be consistent and push further to get to their goals.

Thank you Deb! I am new to Direct Sales and I need all the info I can get. I am tryin to break out of my comfort zone and your tips are a great help. Looking forward to the next training video. I am going to work on my story in the meantime and set my goals.

  46. comment number 46 shared by: cathy lamirande

hi Deb. Have been listening to your wonderful words of wisdom. I am new to my company, and the company is new to the area. I have high hopes for the business. I am not getting the results I want as far as sales and inviting people to join my Signature HomeStyles family. I am far from the company and meetings so I am on my own. I stay in contact as much as I can with the up line. I appreciate all of your sessions. I will keep you posted on my success.

  47. comment number 47 shared by: Portia Willis

Thank You for the free training. I love the way you presented all the information. Just Signed up my husband today and this will really help both he and I on growing our business. I am working at this full time and we hope to retire him soon. I have been involved with several companies but never followed through and therefore failed. Not going to happen this time. Once again thanks for all your experience that you are sharing with up.

  48. comment number 48 shared by: Y'von

As usual Deb you never disappoint.I’ve already tried using opportunity bags from another of your tips and they do peak interest from others.
Thanks for sharing these and many other tips to come with us.

  49. comment number 49 shared by: Marg

Hey Deb…I love the way that you talk about business. I guess my problem is that I’m disallusioned by recruits who join but expect everything to be so easy. Then when they don’t make money, they quit.

  50. comment number 50 shared by: Gayle

Very good information! I am looking forward to more!
    Thanks, Deb.

  51. comment number 51 shared by: Deb Bixler

You know Marg, that is a good point about it is perceived as being easy and we do cover in the full version of the University. Sometimes it is the recruiter that sort of inadvertently perpetuates the notion that it is easy. Actually, it is simple but not easy. Everything good involves effort. Sometimes we just need to plant the seeds so that they realize that it does require effort.

The number one reason people quit is that they do not have enough business. We put a solid week into the new consultant orientation topic so that university graduates have a system of training that teaches how to get the team off to a terrific start!

Anyway, the mini-webinar is short on time so we may cover a bit of this….
But it is probably too deep for the short version.

    Thanks again for commenting!

    Hi Everyone!

GREAT training! I’m so glad I found this site. I’m refocusing my business (luxurious, whole egg, all natural soaps & bath/beauty products) from a wholesale account focus, to a direct sales approach. We’ll be going live looking for individuals to share our opportunity with by Jun 1st. I have tons to learn before then!

Thanks for the info. I have my story but now I have to work on the emotions & memories
