Eric Tippetts Of The Expense Tracker On The Radio
DEB BIXLER: Good evening, direct sellers around the world. We’re glad you’re here. Tonight we are on the radio with Eric Tippetts of the Expense Tracker….
Don’t forget that on the second and fourth Wednesday, we are live and we do take questions by email. We just got one in. For those of you who are listening on another day, feel free to pass the web address www.cashflowshowradio.com onto your whole team, because every show replays 14 times, and this is a good one.
We’re glad you’re here, Eric.
ERIC TIPPETTS: It is a pleasure being here.
DEB BIXLER: Oh, the funny thing about this last piece is only nine minutes, and the other ones were twelve, so….
ERIC TIPPETTS: We’ve got to get right to it.
ERIC TIPPETTS: Funny. As we kind of get back after each commercial, that music, man, I want to start singing. I started dancing to it.
DEB BIXLER: I want to start imitating the lady that says “The Cash Flow Show.”
ERIC TIPPETTS: Cash Flow Show, I love it.
SmartPhone App For Recruiting
| DEB BIXLER: So for those of you who joined us late, visit TaxRecruitingApp.com, either on your computer or on your cell phone, or both. Eric, before we run out of time, how would they contact you if they had specific questions or wanted to reach you? |
ERIC TIPPETTS: Absolutely, I can be reached at eric@theexpensetracker.com or just sign up for the free trial of the app!
DEB BIXLER: Okay, cool. Well, I have an emailed question here from Sherry, I want to ask that before we run out of time. And then I have a question of my own, so we’ll see what happens here, and I’m sure you have things you want to say too.
ERIC TIPPETTS: Sure.
DEB BIXLER: So, how does the app calculate the things that you’re already deducting? I mean, how do you switch it from business to personal to business?
ERIC TIPPETTS: You’ve got to look at it two ways. If you’re in a business already—because we have a lot of people that are already in a business and they just aren’t sure what they can deduct and what they might be missing—so that’s a great way to go in. And this is really built as a template from a tax preparer that looks at what kind of things, what you’re doing currently and then how do they take that and take a portion of it and deduct it, what does that mean?
So if you’re already in a business, it’s going to show you things that you’re probably already doing now that maybe you didn’t realize how much you should be deducting.
Then on a flipside, if you’re not in a home business and you want to see, hey, you know what, I’m already taking vacations, but I’d love to take them as business trips and go out there and talk to people about my business and want to understand how you can get into a business and start taking advantage of a lot of those tax strategies, that’s all right there in the tax app.
DEB BIXLER: Yeah. So whether you’re heading out to do a party plan presentation or going to the post office or even picking up the family groceries, you’re kind of implying that with this app, you can be sharing your business opportunity through tax savings everywhere you go, and now some of these miles that are normally family miles are become business miles.
ERIC TIPPETTS: You got it. Well, I really look at this tax recruiting app as a contact manager and follow-up system that it really is something to where as you’re out and about and you’re talking to people and even yourself that you’re being able to connect with people, share the information about the power being in a home-based business and what you might be losing, but you’re storing all of those things right in that app.
And for follow-up, it’s got a little follow-up trigger that reminds you to give these people a call and follow up with them, so it really is trying to simplify understanding what you could be deducting. Now, the expense tracker, that was what we really built. Say that if you want to get into this full blown with the videos and all of the contents and the voice calling and all that, that’s kind of the next step. This is really about if you just want something that’s going to explode your recruiting.
DEB BIXLER: And it’s totally affordable, too.
ERIC TIPPETTS: Yes, absolutely. So if you — that’s kind of the key place where I’ve seen that most people get excited about.
DEB BIXLER: Well, and the app, is it $4.95 a month?
ERIC TIPPETTS: Yup.
DEB BIXLER: $4.95 a month. How many people could you bring in to pay for that?
ERIC TIPPETTS: Yeah. Well really, all it takes — I mean, you get one person to get excited about your business and join your business; I think you’ve paid for it.
DEB BIXLER: Yeah, absolutely. Well, and what I was going to say a minute ago, is that to justify your home office deduction, you are supposed to show an intent to profit. A business plan lays out your intent, and then you’re supposed to have activity and documentation. Now, this app provides the ability to document your activities?
ERIC TIPPETTS: Yeah, as you’re going ahead and talking to people, you can definitely log that in the notes. You can log it with the person that you just spoke to, and it will store it. It will have it all stored and done for you.
DEB BIXLER: Right. So you could use that. Because my philosophy is that I’m not going to get audited, but if I am, I’m ready.
ERIC TIPPETTS: You got it, you got it.
DEB BIXLER: Yeah, so you’ve got this documentation that you could print out or somehow export or whatever, and it’s part of your history.
ERIC TIPPETTS: You got it. Yeah, you’ve got a previous report, and that’s got it all. And you can search, it’s all searchable, and it’s all stored right in there for you.
Recruit Consultants With Home Office Deduction
DEB BIXLER: Yeah, I love it. I’ve done three different calculations pretending I was working with potential consultants who I wanted to recruit into a home party business just to see how much three different scenarios, just to play with it.
Well, so we’re down to our last three minutes. For those of you who haven’t checked it out yet, TaxRecruitingApp.com, and we’re going to have another article on the website. Actually, I have a whole series of articles going up about the home office deductions so you’ll be able to you know if you are on the Cash Flow Show Radio email list, you’ll be able to read those articles. But what do you want to share with us in the next two minutes, Eric?
Home Party Business
ERIC TIPPETTS: I think the key for me is that I’ve watched so many people struggle trying to go out there and build their home party business, and I’ve watched people just explode effortlessly, rejection-free, resistance-free and what I notice constantly, like the guy that had 92 people in one month, you need tools, and you need good content, good tools to go out there and help you to make it to where you don’t have to go out and pitch. You don’t have to go out and sell.
But if you can give people kind of that leading with a giving hand and I’m going to give you something and I’ve got good information, good content, what you’ll find is reciprocity. People will be absolutely attracted to you because you’ve got this value, this knowledge, this information that can help them. And that right there, I mean, is contagious. Somebody that takes that information, they learn it, they will go share it with everyone they know and watch your business just explode.
DEB BIXLER: Yeah, I like what you said earlier about — it will weigh on their mind if you — once you show them this, when they’re short on money or when they’re paying their cell phone bill, they’re going to remember that you said they could have saved money on that.
ERIC TIPPETTS: That’s right, that’s right. They will be calling you. I’m telling you, try it. It’s one of those things that we’ve tested it, we’ve played with it, we get testimonials from it. It works, and people like the ability to open up the door to their business in that rejection-free way.
DEB BIXLER: Right, right. Well, excellent. Well, I really appreciate that. I love it, I have not used it a whole lot, but I just love the concept. It’s clean, it looks nice, it looks nice on my phone, and I really love it. We got one minute left. So before we leave, don’t forget, everybody, the show replays 14 times, share it with your team, www.cashflowshowradio.com, make sure you join our email list, make sure you confirm your e-mail subscription. And Eric, you got like 15 seconds.
Any quick tips you want to give us?
ERIC TIPPETTS: Yeah, so one thing. I built an e-mail training system that’s free.
It’s called the “Seven Days to Profitability.” If you go to EricTippetts.com, and on there, on the top right—you can actually get this for free—but in seven days, I show you how to use exactly what I’ve told you, talked to you about, I discussed with you tonight about how do you turn your business into a rejection-free, resistance-free recruiting, and really explode it.
So you can go on there and get that for free. And again, the TaxRecruitingApp.com, that’s TaxRecruitingAPP.com; that’s how you can get this new recruiting app.
[MUSIC]
