What Language Do You Speak?

If you speak any language other than your native language, you definitely should tell the home office! Make sure that you are on record for that unique skill.

I am not at all fluent in Spanish but did take it 3 years in high school, so I made sure that I was put on the list for Spanish-speaking consultants in South Central PA.

York, PA does have a huge Spanish population and after a few years my business included a couple strong branches in the Spanish segment as a result.

You do not have to be REALLY good at the language. A basic ability to communicate is all it takes! Normally, the party has other bilingual guests that help you with the translations.

Where Do They Hang Out?

No matter what language you speak you can benefit by being the go-to consultant for that language. You can also seek out those clients by thinking about where they hang out.

Consultants who use every opportunity to market their business and create niches they can serve will always have a full calendar!

Tell The Home Office & Tell Us Too!

Tell us in the comment section below which of these languages you speak and call your home office to let them know you serve a special cultural niche.

  • What languages does the image above say the word ‘party’ in?
  • Tell us if you have any other language skills.
  • Call your home office NOW and tell them!

Don’t sit back and wait for your calendar to fill up with bilingual shows! Depending on your language you may be able to build up quite the following in your 2nd language, but if it is a more obscure language then one or two in a lifetime makes a nice surprise!
