With frequent military moves, Donna learned how to make friends and drum up business quickly in each new town she was stationed in.

Donna’s tips for building relationships and finding business with strangers are:

  • Start with the smile!
  • Open with a compliment.
  • Offer to help.
  • Always be ready to serve!
  • Offer samples for them to ‘test.’
  • Use a soft approach: “do you know anyone who would be interested?”

When you are equipped with all of the above, go hang out where people are congregating and get ready to make new friends and start networking.

Going to carnivals, fairs, vendor and church events as a guest is a great way to meet new people.
